Magic Knight Rayearth is a fantasy adventure story with a dull, generic, premise, competently produced by the popular manga studio, Clamp.
I finally discovered what the big deal was with Jeff Smith’s Bone. I’ve heard good things about the series for some time, you can say it’s been at the edge of my radar- but I finally checked a copy out of my local library the other day and here we are.
The behind the scenes story of Death: At Death’s Door is that Vertigo wanted Neil Gaiman to do a Sandman story in a manga style; he wasn’t interested, but finally gave his blessing for Jill Thompson to do one on her own. The end result Death: At Death’s Door, isn’t very good.
